The Center for Asian Culinary Studies was very pleased to have Chef Tony Bourdain (author of acclaimed culinary book, Kitchen Confidential and now a TV host of his own show, No Reservations) and his crew last Sunday to sample a variety of Filipino dishes by Chef Gene Gonzalez. Along with Ms. Judy Ann Santos (who is currently training at the All-Asian Program at CACS), Chef Gene showed Chef Tony some traditional Kapampangan fare as well as some of the food served during the Malolos Congress.

Chef Tony, whose book has become an inspiration to CACS’ culinary students, was more than happy to sample as well as dine with some of our students and chef instructors. This was truly a momentous day for CACS. We share Chef Gene’s vision of putting the Philippine Cuisine in the world’s culinary map. This is definitely a big step towards it.
